Updated: Friday, October 23rd, 2009
The Network of Executive Women - an organization that seeks to empower female professionals through education, leadership and business development initiatives - has announced it will hold its second networking luncheon in Concord, North Carolina.
At the luncheon, female business students and professionals will have the opportunity to meet and speak with more than 400 leaders in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries from across the state.
Attendees will also hear a series of informational and motivational speeches. Lynette Lewis, the event's keynote speaker, will teach women how they can build their personal brand by using their unique skills and interests to boost their careers.
The conference aims "to serve as a valuable resource for talented women" and "advance women in retail businesses," said Cathy Green, a member of the Network of Executive Women's board of directors.
Individuals interested in accelerating their business careers to the managerial level may add such events to their study of business in an associates, bachelors or MBA degree program. The demand for financial managers, whose median earnings were $40.97 per hour in 2006, is expected to grow by 4 percent over the next seven years.
