New directions for some business careers
Updated: Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
All good things must come to an end, as dean Randy Pohlman of Nova Southeastern University is about to learn. But endings can lead to new beginnings, and in contrast, the New England College of Business and Finance is introducing a new degree track that will hopefully provide the opportunity for people to move toward business careers.
Pohlman reinvented Nova Southeastern University's business school, ultimately establishing the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Miami Herald reports. Today, the school hosts Florida's largest MBA program.
The dean exercised his training in finance and organizational behavior to establish the MBA programs and also pull the school together, the news provider reports. He now leaves this position to return to teaching.
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe reports that the New England College of Business and Finance is presenting a new degree program in business ethics and compliance which is also available to the approximately 650 students who study online.
This program was created in response to questionable financial activity of many companies and aims to promote more ethically responsible business careers.
