Updated: Monday, August 17th, 2009
National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) has unveiled the names of the recipients of the 2009 Brillante Awards for Excellence, which include The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
The awards aim to recognize leaders and corporations whose activities reflect NSHMBA's mission to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.
In addition to the business school, Houston Hispanic Forum was among the recipients.
"The leaders who are recognized with the Brillante Award represent the very best of those who are good stewards for the Hispanic community," says Steve Ramos, NSHMBA Interim CEO.
"It's truly an honor to be in the company of remarkable individuals paving the way for Hispanics across the nation," he adds.
Students of Hispanic descent who are interested in launching a business career may consider enrolling in one of the many accredited MBA programs available at traditional institution as well as via online instruction.
For those who qualify, NSHMBA may also be able to offer tuition assistance through its annual business scholarship program.
Its awards range between $5,000-$10,000 to full-time students and $2,500 for those pursuing their degree part-time. Last year, it disbursed over $1.4 million to 216 students at 83 universities across America.
