Babson College's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business has announced the integration of its Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) to give students firsthand experience in international business.
The school will partner with EMLYON Business School in France and Zhenjiang University's School of Business in a 12-month program that teaches business practices on three different continents.
Program participants will examine the three global markets through case studies, lectures, coaching sessions, group projects and cultural events while working with international students on a semester-long consulting project for a local company.
Raghu Tadepalli, dean of Babson's Graduate School, said the program is "targeted toward recent business school undergraduates" and intended to create "entrepreneurial-minded leaders ready to address global business, environmental and social issues."
Students earn a Master of Science in management with a concentration in global entrepreneurship upon completion of the program, which includes a semester each spent in France, China and Babson's Wellesley, Massachusetts campus.
Those wishing to pursue careers in international business may consider entering accredited MBA programs to increase their earning potential. PayScale.com, a research company, says that average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
