National Latina Business Women's organization to host conference to boost b

Updated: Friday, November 6th, 2009

The National Latina Business Women's Association has announced it will hold its annual conference this month in Sacramento, California.

To celebrate its sixth anniversary, the organization will offer conference attendees the opportunities to participate in a series of workshops on topics such as leveraging the media to build a business, financial solvency as well as separation and positioning techniques that can increase a business's competitiveness.

Motivational speeches as well as panel discussions from business experts and government representatives will also be featured at the conference.

The conference is one of many programs the organization offers to help Hispanic women succeed in the business world. For example, it also sponsors the Emerging Latina Program, a 6-8 week training session that provides workshops in marketing, law, accounting and information technology.

Through these offerings, the National Latina Business Women's Association aims to help Latina entrepreneurs to "not only succeed as individuals, but to also serve as mentors and examples of what can be accomplished through unity and purpose," said Cecilia Mota, the organization's national president.

Associates and bachelors programs in business may help individuals take advantage of similar educational opportunities that can prepare them for MBA programs.ADNFCR-2292-ID-19462958-ADNFCR
