Fellowship allows MBA holders to pursue careers in education

Updated: Friday, July 31st, 2009

Who says teaching does not offer rewarding business career opportunities? One organization has recognized the need for entrepreneurial talent to transform the U.S education system and is offering fellowships to those willing to face the challenge.

The Mind Trust's Education Entrepreneur Fellowship provides two years of salary, benefits, customized training and travel reimbursement for those whose ideas for developing and launching innovative education ventures are deemed most promising.

Mind Trust is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 with a mission to improve public education for underserved students by empowering education entrepreneurs to develop or expand transformative education initiatives.

One of the best ways to prepare oneself to become a creative thinker and groundbreaking entrepreneur is to complete an accredited MBA degree. Whether in the education field, small business or in a corporate environment, a business school degree can take one's career to a whole new level.

PayScale.com, a research company, says that average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
