Babson College's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business - a top business school in the Boston area - will hold a panel discussion on mass customization Thursday.

Mass customization executives will come together for the How Mass Customization Can Create Value and Profit panel sponsored by Paragon Lake, a mass customization practitioner and producer of unique jewelry.

The panel will discuss how companies can use mass customization methods to tailor their goods and services to their clients without sacrificing profit and efficiency.

Information from the meeting is intended to benefit a wide range of professionals, including entrepreneurs, marketers, mass customization professionals, business executives, journalists and business students.

Matt Lauzon, founder and president of Paragon Lake, said the forum was called to address the fact that many "companies are focusing on strategies that embrace a closer relationship with the customer."

Discussions will show attendees from various industries how "mass customization is providing these companies with a way to provide customers with exactly what they need on an efficient level," he added.

Undergraduate business students may take advantage of such opportunities in order to gain up-to-date knowledge that could prove useful in a career-boosting MBA program.
