Northwood University has announced it will begin offering a MBA program for individuals who wish to accelerate their business careers in the aftermarket sector in the spring semester, Aftermarket Business reports.
The university's Aftermarket Executive MBA is intended for experienced professionals in the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors. These individuals may work in replacement parts manufacturing, accessories, chemicals, appearance products, service, repair, as well as tools and equipment.
Over the course of 30 months, students will participate in online classes and instruction as well as five weeklong, classroom-based sessions led by instructors, both of which will be led by professors at the university's DeVos School of Management, according to the college's website.
Students will also complete a capstone project that is required to show a business profit of $75,000 of higher.
Tim Nash, the university's vice president of strategic and corporate alliances, said the program aims to help each student make "an investment in [their] career" as well as "his or her employers business."
Similar associates, bachelors or masters programs in business may provide a career boost for working adults.
PayScale.com, a research company, says that average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
